Estcourt Southcombe

Estcourt Southcombe ran the factory in Tintinhull which was the  hub of a thriving industry employing many of the villagers in various aspects of the manufacture of gloves.  His abilities were recognised by various organisations both locally and nationally.  In later life he was elected as  Master of the Worshipful Company of Glovers of London.

He was closely involved in village life and supported many of the social activities such the Church choir and the flower show whilst at the same time providing many generous benefits for his employees such as housing.
